Aims: The purpose is to study Pharmacognostical characteristics, Physicochemical evaluation, Phytochemical and Antimicrobial assay of Curcuma longa leaves extract. Methods Material: Different qualitative tests were performed confirmed the presence phytochemical compounds under consideration followed by quantitative analysis using sophisticated techniques such as spectrophotometric, Thin layer chromatography (TLC) column chromatography. Results: In pharmacognostic moisture content 1.75%, water alcohol soluble extractive value 19.25 12.6 % respectively, total ash obtain 3.35%. Acid insoluble water-soluble 1 1.2% respectively. was carried out various solvent (methanol, acetone aqueous) extract crude sample for secondary metabolites. showed cumarin, fatty acids, terpenoids, tannin, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, reducing sugar glycosides in respective estimation leaf methanol, aqueous are (1.52,1.22 0.46). flavonoid (1.46,1.34 0.78). antimicrobial activity against human pathogenic microorganisms (E. coli B. thurengenesis). And one species fungus (A. niger) paper diffusion method on nutrient agar Potato dextrose methanol effective E. thurengenesis. inhibitory zone found be ranging from 8mm 20mm diameter. Conclusions: This may useful a source information concerned field pharmacology, ethnology, phytochemistry industrial microbiology future aspect.
